Airport Firefighter and AO: ARFF

Part 1. ARFF - This is a new course offering and we are in the process of developing the course materials. Part 2. ARFF: AO - This course is based on NFPA 1002, Standard on Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications. The course is designed for fire apparatus drivers who will be operating a fire department emergency vehicle intended to carry rescue and fire-fighting equipment for rescuing occupants and combating fires in aircraft at, or in the vicinity of, an airport.

Special Equipment - • NFPA compliant full turnout gear

Physical Requirements - This is a physically demanding course.

Pre-Requisites

  • 18 years of ages
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Drivers License
  • IFSAC or ProBoard/NPQS Firefighter II and Certified Hazardous Materials A&O
  • Completion of Skill Sheets 1-6 at the students department prior to attending class
