Introduction to Technical Rescue

This two-day course addresses Chapter 5 of NFPA 1006, Standard for Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications. It is a prerequisite to all of the Rescue Technician certification courses. Subjects include site operations, victim management, maintenance, and ropes and rigging. For certification, the rescue technician must perform all of the job performance requirements included in this course. Proof of First Responder that meets or exceeds the DOT Medical First Responder

Special Equipment - Coveralls, SCBA, Hard hat, PASS device; Gloves; Knee pads and elbow pads (optional)

Physical Requirements - This is a physically demanding course which requires student to be in good physical condition.
