Firefighter tag list now available on website
On July 1, 2010, Act 2010-582 reverted responsibility back to the Alabama Forestry Commission and the Firefighter’s Personnel Standards and Education Commission to prepare and provide eligibility lists to county officials for the purpose of distributing firefighter license plates.

The firefighter lists for paid and combination departments (department with at least one paid member) have been posted on the Alabama Fire College website at www.alabamafirecollege.net/TagList.aspx

If a firefighter’s name does not appear on the list, the firefighter may obtain the license plate by presenting a certificate signed by the chief of the fire department to the county issuing the license. The certificate may be found at www.alabamafirecollege.tagList-info.aspx.
