The Fire Programs has the primary responsibility of providing fire service training for all courses taught at the Alabama Fire College campus in Tuscaloosa, as well as general responsibility for course development and evaluation statewide. Campus based courses are normally scheduled on a yearly calendar which allows for advanced planning for personnel who may need to attend a course. Get registration forms and information here

Courses Offered On Campus
NOTE: On-campus course classes are scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. with an hour break for lunch, unless otherwise noted.
State of the art facilities at the Alabama Fire College campus allow for more diverse and realistic training on various simulators. With the addition of the arson building, the forcible entry/ventilation simulator, and structural collapse simulator, the Alabama Fire College resident program is fast becoming one of the leaders in fire service education in the United States. On-campus courses range from weekend classes to the ten-week, 400 hour Fire Fighter I certification program.
